Couple of Crumbs

Hi! Welcome to our little blog, run by two old friends who just want to have a place to write... anything we please. Thanks for stopping by!

Funfetti is trying to defy the evils of writer's block one project at a time.

Red Velvet is a quirky little cupcake trying to channel her inner writer.

One Week!

In just seven days, Red Velvet & I will be celebrating our one-year anniversary as Couple of Crumbs! I assume we will go out for burgers… this has become sort of our thing since we started writing together. We can’t forget that our awesome giveaway will also end in 7 days either SO (please) ENTER if you have not. There are three ways to win… you can do it!

We also have a few other goals:

  • To hit 200 posts by next Monday. (We have 8 more to go after I publish this one.)
  • To have 100 “likes” on Facebook. (At the moment, we are at 77. Just 23 more to go!)

So if you haven’t yet, join us on Facebook! Yay!

Also, I just have to say… I’m super proud of the last three posts we’ve done on COC, especially since both of us feel we are caught in a draught of creativity. We hope you’ll read these, and will even take some time to comment! (Esp. if you’ve had some insane dreams lately, because we really love to read about those!)

Hope your Monday was a fast one!

Thursday Throwback: Janeanes & Umas

There’s been a lot of social media drama in my world lately, and I thought Red Velvet’s blog about her Livejournal days sort of fit that. Even though the message is entirely unrelated to drama. It’s been a busy few weeks, and we apologize for things being slow around here. We’re hoping to pick up really soon. For now, enjoy a blog from the past: Janeanes & Umas.

But it’s about more than a number on a scale.  It’s about being comfortable in my own skin.  And I think that’s the main problem. I haven’t felt comfortable for the last few months, the past year even.

Oh - PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THE GIVEAWAY! Seriously, we know it’s the girliest one in existence, but we want to share our one year happiness with you. 11 more days!

CELEBRATE!

Well, kids, time is just flying and Couple of Crumbs is about to celebrate its one year birthday in a few weeks.

Can you believe it? Just a year ago, we were lacking creativity in our lives and decided to start blogging. Now writing has become just as much a part of our routine as commuting to work. (Writing is a lot more fun, btw!)

Anyway, there are a few things we want to accomplish before our anniversary on April 17. Here they are:

  • Get 100 fans on our Facebook page!
  • HAVE OUR FIRST GIVEAWAY! That’s right, you heard it. It’s contest time!

How can you win? Well, a few ways actually:

  1. Leave a comment for us on this entry! Tell us which COC entry is your fav!
  2. Earn a bonus entry by tweeting about our giveaway. Just copy and paste the following: Yay! @coupleofcrumbs is turning 1 in a few weeks! I just entered their giveaway and you should too! Check it out here: http://bit.ly/fuEJEB and then come back and let us know you sent out the tweet! Be sure to include your twitter handle so we can follow you back!
  3. “Like” us on Facebook & leave a comment on our wall telling us what COC entry you enjoyed (or if you did that already, tell us your favorite cupcake!)

There you go, three ways to win!

Now the important stuff… what is the giveaway exactly? GET EXCITED!

Now go jump on the contest wagon! Don’t forget: the contest will expire on Monday, April 18th at 12am.

Thank you again to all our readers who frequent our little site. We sure do enjoy writing for you guys, and hearing from you from time to time as well. We can’t wait to see what the next year brings!

thursday 3.

Red Velvet:

  1. I have a bunch of little food quirks.  This one tends to amuse people - I don’t like chocolate milk, chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, chocolate frosting or chocolate pudding.  BUT .. I love brownies and chocolate bars.
  2. My favorite Disney movie is the Little Mermaid.  It’s also the first movie I ever saw in a theatre (just me & my dad).
  3. I don’t like going to the gym because I feel self-conscious.  My preferred way to work out?  EA Sports Active for Wii.  It really works!

Funfetti:

  1. I took Chemistry AP in high school. It was a huge mistake. I was delusional enough to think I was good at Chem. I think I got a 1 on that test.
  2. I found out this weekend that I average 13 minutes of phone time on my cell per month.
  3. Today is actually my half birthday!
