Couple of Crumbs

Hi! Welcome to our little blog, run by two old friends who just want to have a place to write... anything we please. Thanks for stopping by!

Funfetti is trying to defy the evils of writer's block one project at a time.

Red Velvet is a quirky little cupcake trying to channel her inner writer.

Going Through the Motions

By: Red Velvet

I’m about to admit something kind of embarrassing.

A couple weeks ago I sat outside on a bench and cried like a baby for about 20 minutes during my lunch break (while texting one of my friends).  You could say I was having a bit of a meltdown.

I wasn’t planning on writing about it but a few days ago I told Funfetti she should turn to writing as a form of de-stressing and I’ve decided to take my own advice.  Lately, I haven’t had the motivation to blog.  But I keep thinking about it. While I was baking cookies last Friday night, on the bus, when I’m tossing and turning unable to sleep.  I know there are things I want to say but I’ve been having trouble finding the words and lacking the energy to even really try to find them.

Is it possible for a job to just suck the creativity out of you? Because I’m pretty sure that’s what’s happening here.

Site Spotlight: Lincoln Park on a Lark

Funfetti here! Hi everyone! Sorry it’s been so quiet on the blog lately. For some reason, I’ve come down with a horrible cause of writer’s block. It only took me a few days but I think I’m starting to recover! So here’s the latest entry in our Site Spotlight series!

I don’t know about you, but I’m super picky when it comes to blog reading. Time is so precious, especially when you want something entertaining and interesting to catch your interest while you are sneakily reading blogs at work. Yes, this is what I do to fill the lulls of my 9-5 day. (I am very appreciative of that time, believe me!) Unlike my first choice (Love & Renovations), I’ve been following my next one for over three months now, and I can’t tell you just how excited I am every time she has an update.

Drum roll please…

Lincoln Park on a Lark is written by Anni, a gal who blogs about all sorts of things - photography, wedding planning, food, traveling, etc. This is part of the reason I love reading her blog so much… I never know what to expect. What I can anticipate, though, is that her writing is always full of personality, down to earth, thoughtful, and extremely honest. You kind of just want to be friends with her. (She also loves cupcakes!)

Here are a few of my favorite entries:

I really hope you will check her out.

(Follow her on Twitter as well, @_hellolover)!

P.S. She’s just finished her first official photography shoot!! Take a peek here: Anni Cee Photographie. (I just love creative people!)
