Something Sweet in September: Funfetti Bakes & Burns
Can you believe it’s September? Almost time for light jackets, falling leaves, and pumpkin-flavored everything! But for now, it is time for a new series. These cupcakes are baking cupcakes, and sharing their adventures with you. Red Velvet and I will be alternating weeks, and coming to you with (hopefully) four new recipes for you to try on your own.
I should probably start by saying… I baked my first batch of brownies a little over ago. And a few months after that, started baking my own cupcakes from scratch. Turns out, I loved it! It’s become sort of a “thing” with me to bake cupcakes for parties at home, work, or just when I’m visiting someone. I’ve tried a lot of recipes from Martha Stewart’s Cupcake Book and also found quite a bit online. I swear you can search almost any combination and find a cupcake that matches it.
This particular recipe is one that I found a few months ago, and had filed away in my email. Finally! An occasion to make it. It also helped that I had all the ingredients except one in the house. Not only was the recipe cost-effective, but it’s rather low maintenance too, which is nice when you just want to throw something special together and don’t have a lot of time.
Enough blabbing… on to the recipe!
