Remembering the Creek: The Music
Music was an integral part of Dawson’s Creek. Practically a main character. While Paula Coles’ “I Don’t Wanna Wait” was always a questionable choice for a theme song… it even grew on us after awhile. The show was genius for blending songs of new artists (some who don’t even exist anymore) and some ridiculously awesome old standbys (Dave Matthews Band, Everclear, Joni Mitchell, Barenaked Ladies, James Taylor). Not to mention, such fitting choices enhanced all of the most important scenes of the show.
For part 3 of our Dawson’s Creek series, these cupcakes have decided to make their own individual playlists, filled with their favorite music from the show. Twenty songs a piece, some of them overlapping, but still plenty different.
